Would like to wrap the wires near the headers on my car. Bought some sleeving that is thermal lined and am wondering if this is the best way to go. Any thoughts? Thanks.
NOTE* It would help if you elaborate on the type of "wires"...spark plug wires or accessory wiring. My suggestions are for the latter. You can find the heat resistant cloth "socks" for spark plugs at either source as well.
The stuff I used to use regularly was either THERMO-TEC or DEI from SUMMIT RACING or JEG'S.
It was a sleeve, foil on the outside and a heat resistant cloth on the inside. It also helps if your headers are ceramic metallic coated by the way...
Thanks for the info. Already have the "Kool-sox" for the spark plug wires. The sleeving I bought is made by "Therma-Tec. Appears that this should do fine. Going to use this for all accessory wiring.
