Default Problems with my HID's

I need yall's help! I bought a set of Xentec HID's for my Vette about a year or so ago at a Corvette show (cant not remember) I also cannot remember the vendor I bought them from. I also cannot find they're website. My problem is the driverside light will turn off after a few minutes. I had a long trip i took my vette on and on the way home is when it started. They stayed on for about an hour and a half and then the light went out. I can turn off the lights and turn them back on and they will work for a few minutes again. Any ideas? Does anyone know how I can contact the company? Thanks!

Bryan

Can't help you with the vendor but have a suggestion that may help you troubleshoot the problem. Swap the hid bulbs between driver side and passenger side and see what happens. If you've still got a problem on the driver side, it's probably a defective ballast. If the problem turns up on the passenger side, it's probably a defective bulb. At least you'll know what needs replacing. Good luck with the fix.

I have a similiar problem to your and it turns out i have a bad ballast.
Try autoilluminate on e-bay i think they carry the xentec brand.
One of the forum vendors couldsell you a ballast but i'm not sure if they're interchangable.

As a matter of fact i was over in the for-sle section and there's a vendor selline entire kits for 61.00. Cant beat that. And you'll have a warranty.

check your wiring and connections.
Intermittent lighting is usually the result of intermittent power

I had a similiar issue with HID fogs I recently purchased. Turns out I had a bad bulb. Put a new bulb in and so far so good (although I only put the new bulb in last night. LOL)

Stay away from Autoilluminate
I bought two sets for my wife's car and had an issue within two weeks that took FOREVER for them help me diagnose. They FINALLY sent me a new ballast that I had to pay for up front and they NEVER refunded my money after I sent them the bad ballast. Never would answer any of my e-mails either, so I just wrote it off to a lesson learned
