Default Need advice / recommendation on headers

We own a 2004 C5 6 speed rag top that we put a B&B exhaust system on. Now it's time for headers... We're hoping for more performance as well as a deeper throatier sound. What recommendation(s) do you have the best headers to deliver on this?

Kooks are very nice and I like the sound with the hi flow cats w/ti cat backs
They my be a little harder to install, but really not that bad
You get what you pay for in headers

The top three brands on the Forum are:

American Racing
Kooks
LG pros

Stick with the 1 3/4" unless you have increased the displacement.

You won't go wrong with any of the above...they are all roguhly the same price
If you are doing it yourself AR are allegedly the easiest to install
Otherwise if your tuner sell one of the above go with his recommendation.

I went with AR for fit, finish, performance, sound and installation ease

I went with the LG Street series and high flow cats. I was able to install them myself without any problems and hooked them up to Corsa Indy's. Sounds great.

Yeah, what he said......

I am particularly interested in finding headers that DON'T increase interior noise.

I just picked up a set of LG Pros but won't be installing until spring. The x-pipe and cats are much bigger then my current setup so I am hoping to pick up a bit in the mid-range and upper peak. One thing to consider is a "racing" set, i.e., no AIR connections. The AIR system is easily tuned out, cleans up the engine compartment and makes plug swaps a breeze. I can remove all eight plugs in about 5 minutes now.

^^ If you are concerned about noise and/or heat get the Elite Engineering tunnel plate and insulation sheet they sell.
