When I push the seat memory button the seat only goes about 1/2 way forward then stops. If I push it again it will go to the correct forward position. Has anyone else have this problem? Any idea what to look for to correct the problem. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for any suggestions you might have.
Mine does that once in awhile Usually after when I unlock the car with the key fob. I think it might have something to do with memory1 & memory 2 I`m not sure. But it doesn`t bother me enough to worry about it. If you find out what it is let us know. Dennis
The memory settings will work for whichever fob you used to unlock the car at the time you entered the settings into memory.
If you set the memory after unlocking the car with fob #1 (see"fob training"in the owners manual),but now you're using fob#2,the seat will go to whatever position it was set for THAT fob-which may not be the settings you want.
This may not be your problem, but it might be worth checking, since the memory settings are fob specific.
Problem Sounds similar to mine. My seat seems to have several "dead" spots. If it is moving to the memory position, it will stop short when it gets to one of these. If I "bump" the seat past the dead spot (using the seat switch manually) it will then continue to the memory position if I hit the memory button again. Don't know why this is, but I was going to pull the seat to check it out. Are there some sort of reference marks on the track that could be dirty?
