C5 Key Fob Training Problem
I can train my key fob but it only lasts for about 5 minutes. Then I have to train it again. Anyone out there have this problem. If so, what is the issue and how do I correct it. Thanks ~ Colin

The fob itself has died. Some people have been able to resolder the device inside that's retangular with only four leads on it and make it work again. Otherwise all you can do is buy a new one. It appears they have a lifetime. Gene Culley has the best price around at www.gmpartshouse.com

You didn't specify the year, but I knew it was going to be a 2000 before I looked at your profile. They are dropping like flies. Gene Culley has new ones for $60. The 01-04 fobs won't work, so pick the correct one.

Check with Fichtner Chev also. They began their "GM employee price" special pricing last week or so and I think it runs through Dec.
