Default ABS problems.

I have a 1998 ABS Module that has a problem. When I install the engine the ABS system has never worked right. Example when I slap the brakes on, the ABS is not kicking in and then when the car comes to a stops the DIC say the ABS has activated. Now I looked for codes and I have none. So I sent the head of the unit to ABSFIXERS and they say this one they can not be fixed. I would assume that if the module or a wheel sensor is bad it would set off a code . I have not Ideas? Need help!!!

Default ABS Active is a good response

I also have a 98 abs system and just came in form the rain where I exercised my ABS several times. When you apply brakes hard enough to activate the ABS then the DIC displays ABS Active . No error is posted as it si working as designed.

I had to replace the unit in my '99. ABS fixers could not repair it, but tried at no charge. Great company. Its a horror story that I went through with another repair place that you can search on here and find. It was a couple years ago. I simply ended up purchasing a new one and it still works well. No one to this day has been able to answer why the older units cannot be repaired. At least not by a reputable place like absfixer.
