Default Exhaust replacement on Jack stands

Hey guys I need a little advise. My brother has a 2003 z06 and I have a 2003 AE. I assume his titanium exhaust will fit on my ae coupe. I am just looking for a little more aggressive sound. Can the swap be done on jack stands or do I need a lift? About how high do I need to get the car to remove the exhaust? Thanks

I did it but would not do it again. It is a very scary prospect as the rear bumper needs to be 30 some inches in the air. Take it to someone with a lift would be my advice.

Nope. At least 30 inches. Better off taking it to a muffler shop you can trust.

It takes 20-30 minutes to do on a lift
They can't charge too much.

It can be done. I would recommend a lift, if you can use one for reasonable cost.

like others have said it is a high lift... I had to add a lifting saddle to my jack ...a 4x4 sandwiched between 2 2x6's to get 8 inches of extra lift hieght...
drop the rear sway bar, remove the gas tank shields and you are good to go...

A forum member posted these a while back.

I've done it on jack stands but have since mended my ways. Much easier - and safer - on a lift.

Default Exhaust replacement

The swap nets you very little exhaust sound improvement. I could barely tell any difference at idle once I swapped my '03 Coupe's catback to a Z06 titanium. Full throttle, windows down I could hear some difference but again not a lot to my mind. Unless you are wanting the weight loss and rust-free material it isn't worth it.

I did mine for performance , not more noise.
Weight loss and flow capability W/O the drone.
