This is definitely good news. Now I just have to go digging for all those tips about how to wire a flame ball into the traction control switch or somewhere good for a 1997.

If I put a 6-speed gear **** on, obviously there is no button to press when going from Drive to Reverse, does this mean if I'm going down the highway and bump the **** that I could put the car into reverse going 80 mph?

I didn't see any flameballs on their site either. I was looking athttp://www.flameball.com though and like the flexibility and selection. I don't know whether to go 3 color or 5 color.

We have a few FlameBalls in stock. The 3-Color is $40.00, and the 5-Color is $45.00. We also have an install kit for $15.00 that we recomend you order. They take a while to get if we do not have them in stock. You can call Jen at 262-642-4026 to see what we have. They look great, and we will post some PICS on our site in the near future.

HAHA!! This one made me laugh. :D

So basically, it is the cost of the flameball, $15 installation kit and $50 adapter kit. Is this all that is needed??

Untouchable00,

Yes, you will need the adapter for $50.00. You can use any aftermarket shifter you want. If you wnat a FlameBall you can special order one direct, or we have a few in stock. I think we are the only one that has an install kit for the FlameBall.

When we installed the CAU A4 Shift Adapter we took the Leather Boot out of the shaft and the clip.

I'm looking for someone who purchased our adapter that would try to install without prying out the leather. Just fit the collar over the adapter. I think you have to pry it out so that the spring will fit. You can call me at 800-236-2582. Thanks for your help.

Jim,

I'm not exactly sure what you mean, but I already have a shifter **** and my adapter is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow, so I'll give it a whirl if you'd like me to. Just e-mail and let know exactly what it is you want me to try.

Got your note and viewed the photos. I'll try to install without taking the leather out and I'll let you know how it goes. As I said before, the adapter is scheduled for delivery tomorrow, so as soon as it arrives I'll get right on it.
