Anybody ever bother to check camshaft endplay when installing a Comp cam? I never thought about it until I had it buttoned up.
The book says 1-12 thousands, pretty broad range.
The end play is controlled by the thickness of the snout of the cam working between the sprocket and the retaining plate - correct?
Surely Comp has that snount dimension within range?
Definitely something to keep in mind. Since excessive cam end play can contribute to the lifters rotating, not a good thing for sure with roller lifters.
