My 1999 C5 Air conditioner/ Heather Motor was making some noise
Today I remove the A/C motor from under the dash and found a Hose clamp spring loose in the motor housing (Impellers) I removed the loose spring clamp reinstalled the motor all seems to be working fine Quiet as a church mouse
my Question where did the spring come from where does it belong??????
I don't know for sure on the C5's, but some blower impellers were held to the armature shaft of the motor with a spring clamp. Short of that maybe someone dropped one down the windshield defrost vent? Glad to hear you have it running quiet once again.
I'm having a similar issue and went to remove the blower motor today however, I'm having trouble getting the dash closeout panel off. I would think this should be the easiest part of the job but on the left side next to the tunnel, it is wrapped in carpet which then extends up somewhere behind the glove box and seems to be glued in place. How do I get this off? Do I just need to pull harder?
