Default Remote fob problem. Please, please help! : )

So out of no where my fob remote went out on me. Simple troubleshooting told me to replace the battery. Went and got a brand new Energizer 2450 and installed a fresh battery. Still not working.. Tried to program. Went to the blank page at the end of Options Menu, held Reset for 3 seconds and got to the hold Lock/UnLock buttons. When I held these buttons, nothing happened. What's weird is I both my Fob's arent working. Not sure if its the receiver on the car's end or what to do. If anyone can help I'd be tremendously grateful. THANK YOU!!

ps. Year 2000.

Are you getting readings for your tire pressure? Is your AC working normally? If not check fuse 27 in the footwell fuse box.

There are resistors on the fob circuit board that sometimes work loose. Touching the connectors up again with solder fixes it.

Try searching for FOB and Resistor, there might be a DIY write up.

This one should help:

TPS and AC are working. Will look into loose connections. Any other ideas? Really dont want to spend 100$ on a new one.

If TPMS an AC are working the fuse is not blown. If TPMS is working the RDF receiver is working as well. Sounds like a dead FOB. Sorry.

This is very good news though.. Since both FOBS broke at the same time, I was worried the receiver was toast.. yikes

It does seem like they have a shelf life. This isn't the first time I've read about two going out at the same time.
