Default Exhaust suggestions

Hi everyone,

Im beginning to look for an exhaust for my 2001 coupe. I would like a very deep loud exhaust that sounds extremely powerful. When I drove to corsa in ohio this summer I really loved the loud mouth they had for around $2000 but that wasnt in the budget since I had just purchased my vette weeks before. I would like to stay below $1000 if possible and I dont want to lose out on the dual tips on each side. Thanks for the help.

Isn't the "loud mouth" an SLP cat back?

You might try and find a good used system in C5 Parts.

Are you looking to replace the cat-backs, headers/xpipe, or everything?

I just did the B&B Fusion on my car. Sounds great, although it hasn't left the driveway. There's a very noticable difference between the two modes.

I have some LG Big 3's mufflers that I removed from my car, I prefer less noise. I put the factory titainiums back on. I will sell for $400 shipped I modified one of the sections of pipe because I did not like LG's fitment. These are dual tipped, need cleaning if that is important to you. They were on the car for 1 year and 4000 miles.

I believe you can get a GHL system for right around $1000. I love mine. Great tone at idle and when you get on it you know its not stock.

01rare - That's a good post. There's alot of info on this forum about exhaust, but I like every new exhaust post. I'm about the same as you. I want to keep my Ti catback system, I might want to put it back on someday and I'm watching the For Sale on this forum and Craigslist. I would like to buy a used system and try it out. If I buy new it would probally be the GHL's.

I deliberated over this same issue, and finally decided on DMH cutouts. I get the best of ALL worlds, from stock quiet to obnoxious....and everywhere inbetween.

Good Luck

Thanks for all the replys and future ones. I really appreciate the help. When I referred to the " loud mouth" I meant to say it looked like a few loud mouth exhausts that were at the show that corvette ownwers showed me. I'm not sure what corsa calls the "loud mouth" but I heard the tone and knew the price so I started to ask around where I could get an exhaust similar to that for half the cost if possible

The newer, louder Corsa's are the Xtremes. I originally went with the Corsa Touring. It was OK but after a while it seemed a little quite. Since then, I added AR Headers and they got a little deeper and louder. Next week I am adding a H/C package that IMHO will make this setup sound perfect. Besides as stated above, if I want to be obnoxious and let the pipes yell "HEY I'M SPEEDING", I will add cutouts.
