Bounce dryer sheets if you change them frequently. If not, you're just giving them more material to make nests out of. The little b******s filled up my vette with dog food. They even put dog food up the exhaust, so my car smelled like burned dog food (beef flavor) for a month.
Well-if all else fails, leave the engine on! The fuel will cost less than rewiring your car and putting in new seats. And-what sounds better than a Vette idling???
What is the best way to keep mice from making a home in the Vette?
I live in the North and get a lot of snow and cold. The car is in a garage the is shared with the wife's car. We are in and out alot. What can be put under the car and in the interior?
Thanks
I had discovered a mice/mouse nest in my car when I replaced the Wiper motor in my 1998 coupe. I was luck because they had started to lunch on my wire harness that ran into the firewall from that area. I was able to salvage the damage without replacement that would have been $$$$ to replace. I have resorted to traps in the garage that will not let them get away. There are several types available but they will return if you don't take a aggressive position to elimenate the mice. I also use a electronic device that is plugged into a outlet. It stated it developes a very high pitched sound wave that mice do not like. Lastly in the summer time I place outside traps that that are safe around pets. The traps use a baite/poison that is inside a box with a small hole. Once inside the opening it closes and makes for easy disposal. Mice move outdoors when the weather inproves and back inside when its cold. If you get them while outdoors less to deal with as it turns cold. They can be very destructive.
I use Moth ***** and place them in 4 "Pie Tins", 1 under the engine, 1 under each side of the car under the doors and 1 under the tail pipes, hardest part is catching all the Moths!
I also use 3 Electronic Rodent repellents, 1 hanging above the car, 1 behind the car on the floor pointing towards the front of the car, and 1 in front of the car.
I live in Wisconsin and have stored all my cars like this in several locations (different areas of the State) and have had zero problems for over 15 years now.
I would look around the outside of the garage and look for any cracks or holes the size of a dime or index finger. Anything that size a mouse can get in. Fill those in with pieces of cheap copper brillo pads, as they cant and wont chew threw that.
Otherwise buy a few snap traps and bait with peanut butter under the little trigger so its not easy for them to eat and run. Place those right along the walls, as mice cant see well past 4 feet and will use their whiskers to feel as they stay close to the walls.

get some old style mouse traps. bait them with peanut butter. put one at each wheel and one by each tail pipe. I'm a licensed mouse assassin Go have beer.
I live smack in the middle of corn field. I and many others use hedge apples. place them 2 to 3 feet appart inside garage along walls. when summer comes throw them away!!! I keep dog food bags and chickin food bags in garage no mice and i see them all the time in yard. If you go near farm fields the old rows of trees are hedge rows in late summer early spring the big green clumpy ***** fall off. there about the size of a softball pick them up and place in garage as directed in fall!!! the only thing to loose is your time. Oh and I store my C5 and my dads 62 fulie stingray 1 of 6 built in there.
3-4 Sticky glue bait traps in the garage. Catches bugs mice etc etc. before they can get to the car. Try to place them near obvious critter entry/exit points.
The best part is they live for a few days after getting stuck, so you can spend that time explaining to them that this area is off limts LOL.
OK guys here ya go....From yenkonet, it just doesn't het any better than this. Easy and super effective. Just make sure your "freeze proof liquid" is pet friendly. ..."pear"
