Default took key out..C5 kept running????
Took key out and the 99C5 kept running ..had to put it back in and out about 3 X's before the motor shut downhas this ever happened to anyone?

electrical side of the ignition switch.....

that would be my guess.....

search it, think i remember seeing some threads about ignition switch issues.....(not for this prob, but some closely related)

One of the contacts inside the ignition switch welded its self together. If I were you I would replace the switch OR, follow my post and clean and repair your old switch:

Yep, that is what it is. Same thing happened to me with another Chevy. I took off work and drove straight to Dealer. They replaced ignition switch and everything was fine.
