HRE wheel valve stem leaking
My HRE wheel is leaking at the valve stem pretty bad now. I had them probably 5-7 years now. I need to replace the valve stem. It actually looks like the rubber seal or O-ring is leaking at the base of the stem.
What have you other HRE owners done about this?
Do you have to buy valve stems from HRE? (HRE web page does not have any info)
Do tire stores have these parts on hand?
can I find the parts in a auto parts store and have them installed?

Any decent tire store should be able to fix you up. It's quite possible (and likely) the nut inside the wheel just loosened up. Quite common with threaded valvestems.

I called HRE and spoke with Vince in the service dept. when I was needed a new one. I was charged for one but he sent two so I'd have a spare.
You don't have to get them from HRE but if you get the wrong one it will be fine for a while and then go flat, at least in my experience.
