Tranny question.
I plan on adding stage II heads to my 98 vette and will not be at the race track. Do you guys think that I would need a new tranny for such an upgrade?? I already have the cam and some other goodies in it. Also, I just had the tranny rebuilt and it has a brand new 3.42 differential. What do you guys think??

The tranny should hold for a while if you don´t drive it too hard.
On my driving style it would not last long :D
A good performance rebuild is not that expencive and it´s worth every $.
I don´t need to take care of my tranny anymore, like to stomp on the gas!!:D

I think it will last for a while. I had a shift kit installed and replaced some of the plastic valving with aluminum. That seemed to give me an extra year. The 2-3 shift is becoming soft and I figure it is only a matter of time. I have a FLP leve IV tranny on order from Chuck Johnson. That setup appears to be the ultimate.
