1998 Coupe, 92000 miles, transmission was rebuilt for 1st-2nd synchros last year. Has a C6Z shifter now. CAGS was still enabled before I bought the car.
Every time I drive the car after it's been sitting overnight (doesn't matter what temp it is/was) the first two times I shift from third to fourth the shifter chatters back at me before going into gear.
After two good upshifts there are no more problems and the problem does not reoccur until the car sits un-driven for several hours (8+).
It could be one of the synchro keys going bad in your 3-4. When you replaced the 1-2 synchro last year, did you do any upgrades at all while it was apart? Look in my sig. The upgraded parts are from RPM Transmissions. If you didn't upgrade, I would strongly suggest you do if you have to go in to the trans this time. Give Rodney a call, he will take care of you!
you may need the steel 3/4 shift fork upgrade. the stock aluminum shift fork can flex and pop out of 3rd and/or 4th. it should be done on any t65 that has the stock aluminum shift fork as cheap insurance.
