C5 alternator rebuild

i think the diodes are bad in my alternator. does anyone know if they can be replaced and if so where i can get them.

Best bet is find a rebuilder of alternators near where you live and drop it off for repairs.

I have been told by varies sources including a forum thread that there is no way to rebuild if there are no parts available. Did your shop do something special or was the rebuild completed without available parts by using some subsitutes,

What symptoms are you seeing that you think the DIODES are bad??? Are you seeing any DTCs???

You can take that alternator to Autozone or Advance and they will run a full test on it. The website above looks like they can help you out.

I have all my alternator work done localy at a very good starter /alternator rebuild shop.
