Exhaust System, C5
I picked up a Le Mans Blue '04 'Vette at a Jag/Land Rover dealer in Cerritos, CA last month.
It was love at first sight, no doubt--then the salesman fired the engine and the car let out a pretty loud roar. He said offhandedly, "This one has a special exhaust system. I've got friends who own 'Vettes and theirs don't sound anything like this". And today, I spoke with a real expert, one of my company's execs who's driven Corvettes all his life (he owns an '08 Z06), he took a listen and said the same thing the salesman did.
I'm now curious about specs--I'd like to know a bit more about what I have re: the exhaust system. Aftermarket Flowmaster, perhaps?
And if anyone has a similar system in their C5, I'm wondering if I should worry about a noise citation (the car does tend to trigger alarm chirps from cars parked along the street).

And how are we supposed to figure out what type of "special exhaust system" you have without pics?
