DIC Gauge Calculations
I am curious where the DIC draws its data from to make calculations?
I am assuming that for odometer & trip mileage get their data from a wheel sensor or maybe transmission?
But what about Instant MPG, Average MPG and Range? Do they depend on the Fuel Tank Sensor info to make those calculations? The reason I am asking is because (like so many) my gas gauge is better at measuring the time zone than monitoring fuel levels and my Techron/Seafoam bills are now approaching my fuel costs.
I am just guessing that if the Fuel Tank readings are erratic then MPG may also be worthless.
