From underneath. Get it on some ramps or a lift. Patience is a virtue here, but it's not too bad.
P.S. I would STRONGLY advise replacement of the idler and tensioner too, especially if this is a high mileage belt.
P.P.S. Use Goodyear Gatorback belt too.

thanks guys i was running out of daylight and i started to panic, i never tackeled that job before. That belt had my car sounding like a real POS, but i got er done
