I'm not a fan of the look, don't tap those screws into the fuel tanks, I've seen horror stories on that in the past

Default seat hoops

I have installed at least 7 sets of the hoops with the 3/4 inch screws without any problems and I started with my own vette as seen here. if you want to make sure you don't hit the fuel line drill a small hole then stick something in it till you hit the crossover pipe,,you'll have over
1 1/2 inches of space to play with !! I used washers with the screws and have been on my vette for over 5 yrs. now and they will not get loose.

thanks for your interest in my project seat back hoops installed saturday and after doing this the way i wanted to and you suggested i really dont understand why anybody would want to epoxy them in by going slow as suggested drilling small pilot hole and using small pick to feel around i had all kinds of clearance also by screwing them in you can tune the adjustment and shim if necessary they are also solid as a rock 1 thing nobody mentioned at least on my vert there is a pretty good sized weld back there thick weld did hamper the left lower mount bolt on both hoops and because of that i did have to shim any way thanks again and me personally would never want to epoxy these in thanks for giving me the courage to do it your way again thanks tom
