Went through the manual, went to the options, the clear screen, held for two seconds, hit the reset to the program key fob screen then held the lock and unlock for five seconds. Nothing happened. New key fob and new battery. Didn't work on the old or new key fob.
Yes, did all of that and got to the screen that says hold the lock and unlock which we did. Didn't do anything.
I just replaced the battery and even found an old fob from my 2000 vette that I had never used. Neither with new batteries worked. Any other suggestions?
Couple of things come to mind on this. One is that on the earlier cars the hold time for the lck and unlck buttons was 15 seconds (per the manual anyway) and not 5. Another is that a vehicle can have a max of 3 transmitters matched to it. Are you already at that limit?
Make sure the battery is not upside down.
No need to clear previous remotes. When you start over programming the remotes all previous trained remotes are cleared out. Just remember you have to do all of them at the same time, meaning one right after the other.
Also check your car battery. If your battery is not fully charged it can prevent the programming process from completing.
The car battery and fob battery are both new. I held down the lock and unlock for almost a minute with nothing happening. Is it possible that the signal received in the car is bad?
I posted in your other thread that since both the remotes and tire sensors work on the same frequency it could be the receiver. They don't go bad that often but it's possible.

I'm not sure how to test the receiver. One of the forum's electrical experts can tell you. The guru is Bill Curlee.
You can take a look at it and make sure the connections are clean and tight.
I would try testing the FOB to make sure it's sending a signal. They have testers at the dealership and at parts stores (C.A.P., Car Quest, etc). If it's sending a signal, you'll know that you need to check the receiever next.
