Default alignment difference

Im looking around to get an alignment and my friend says the more expensive place 85$ has a 100,000 dollar alignment machine and the other place is ok but has a far lower quality machine they cost 40 dollars for an alignment. My question is there any difference in alignments?

The biggest difference in alignments is with the people doing the work. Some people can get extraordinary results with a few simple tools costing less than $250 while others get lousy results while using the most expensive, most accurate machine on the face of the earth. You need to determine who has the best person.

At Watkins Glen Lou Gigilotti did a rear alignment adjustment on my 08Z while I watched. He and one other guy did everything with a Sears Laser level and a home made toe bracket, a tape measure and my small Sears Jack. It took them 15 minutes from start to finish.

I just do mine at work because i have access to the equipment...

I recently got mine done at the dealer for around $90, and I noticed no difference walking out the door. And she still pulls to the left!
