Differential fluid leak
I have read quite a bit on this (and even on other forums) about the way C5 go through diff. Axle seals.
But when I look under the car, the leak appears to come for a little square “hole” or gap at the differential…any ideas?
Thanks so much for your help.

The leak is the transmission output shaft seal. The outpur shaft seal is on a "plate" between the diff and tranny. You have to drop the drivetrain & remove the rear suspension to fix the seal. The leak seem to aggravated during the winter and colder temperatures.
My 99 vert would leave a 20 foot drip trail of ATF in the morning backing out of the garage until I fixed it. The seal was about $60 2 years ago. A stealership quote was for about $700 to fix.
