Default Z06 Fog lights

My dad wants to put Factory C5 fog lights on his 03 Z, is the wiring there to do it? How hard is it to set up?

Thanks for the compliment on my procedure.
I am soon going to write a full procedure on my Stainless break line install with brake fluid flush, and a LG GT2 Coil over install.

Stay tuned...

I wouldnt install the stock lamps because the bulbs arent that bright. When guys replace the stock lamps for better ones, they go with Piaa 1100x.

it comes with all the wiring

I installed stock Fog Light housings then install 6000K HID's in them.
They kill the PIaa lights by a long shot.

Just my fog lights on in this pic.....

I would like to do this mod to my Z also.

Did you use the stock foglight housings? Will the housings even fit under the Z06 screen mesh?

The housings I am talking about:

Yes, Ive read your website (nice page, btw)

From the looks of things, you just mounted the foglights to the frame, no need for the factory plastic housings?

Thanks !

You mean the OEM foglights ?
I mounted the Factory GM fog lights just like the factory did (I think). I got my Factory OEM fog lights off of a parted out C5.

Edit.... I have the Vararam, and it has holes in it for the fog lights. I'm not sure honestly if you will need the plastic piece you liked to...
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-p...t-housing.html

I would not think its necessary though. Since mine don't mount to my Vararam at all..... they just point out thru the holes in it.

I have a question.

Why would anyone even add the stock fog light housings to a Z06? They're not needed for the fog light install. All that they do is block out the air flow to the engine. Actually, I just received my Z06 screens for my C5 coupe and I was planning to completely remove the plastic fog light housings. Is this a bad idea? Maybe there's something that I'm missing.

I'm with you.... I'm also not sure why anyone would add that to a Z06. I did not when I put in my OEM C5 fog's to my Z06.

I don't think it performs a real function... I could be wrong though...
