I put on one set of coated headers, Dynatech I think with Jethot coating. One header stood up OK but the other one peeled and rusted about as bad as the painted ones do. This was on a '65 Imala ragtop that has only seen rain once since I put it together and is always stored indoors and is drive really low milage. No real reason they should have failed so badly. The warranty with them basically said if it fails too bad for you...
After that, I'm pretty sour on paying the extra for coated steel ones again. At least stainless won't rust. If I find a place that has been in business for years and will guarantee for life then maybe.

Our headers are completely Stainless Steel, and something you will not find with the other companies, a company to stand behind it with a 100% guarantee for the time that you own them.
Three years ago I purchased Jet-Hots coated headers for about $600 shipped. Fit was perfect and no problems for the three years they have been on. I asked Andy at A&A when he dynoed the car after he did the mods on the engine about the headers. He said as far as he could tell there was not a noticeable difference in these headers or the more expensive ones according to the dyno runs. I run a 3" system with hi-flo cats. See sig for HP.

Hmmmm.....it's about time for a group buy on the LG Streets....no?
I bought into the OBX setup and just installed the drivers side header today....so far so good. Great looking product, stainless and reasonably priced compared to others out there. Its what I call a product with very little Corvette tax. Take the 300 you save and buy a Powerbond underdrive pulley.....thats what you call more bang for the buck.

Well the Dynatech Dynamaxx corvette headers are T304 stainless. I can't speak for the 65 Impala headers.
There are a few companies who lifetime warranty. LG and OBX do. I'm sure there are others. Dynatech tells you straight up you're on your own, which isn't cool.

Regardless of the brand.... I'd recommend getting the cats.
The sour stink of gas around the car walking around and especially driving behind of you...
Even when a see a beautiful street rod around town, and get stuck behind him with both his carb'd setup and no cats.... I'm HATING that motherF%^&er by the end of a few miles

I always love when people pull right up on me at lights. I bet they hate that smell

Roll down a window or pop the top and see who is smelling your exhaust now. The Vette is keeping it's cats. The Jeep is a gaseous obnoxious smelling beast and I seldom roll the windows down.
