I'm not sure you want to lower just from the front but to answer your question, yes, you can lower your car up front. I'm not sure you will get an inch or more though.

I would suggest putting your car up on jck stands. Then using your jack and a block of wood you should jack up the front wheel, like the A-frame area so as to take pressure off of the spring.

This will make it easier to turn the bolt that runs through the spring. This bolt has a bushing on the end of it and the idea is to turn the bolt until you can turn no more and the bushing is flush.

You can do this on both wheels and your car is then lowered as much as possible up front on stock bolts.

I suggest you lower the rear too or else your ride will be terrible and will be like driving around with a load of bricks in the back.

Using the same idea jack up the back spring area to take pressure off the bolt and backout the nut until there are about two threads left on the end. There are no bushings on the back.

Once both back nuts are backed out leaving two threads I suggest you get the car on the road for a test drive. If the ride is bad then just raise the rear again enough to raise each side a thread or two at a time and check after each change to see if the ride has improved to your liking.

As you know there is a natural stance with the Vette caused mostly because of the 17in wheels on front and 18 on rear. Lowering the rear too much can eliminate this natural stance and cause a very bad ride.

Hope this helps.

On the front... If you get the jack (or afforementioned block of wood) on the spring itself and raise it just a bit, it will separate the adjustment pad from the A-arm. At that point you should be able to adjust it with your fingers.
