I want to paint some under hood components body color...the top of radiator overflow container and top of washer spray along with the fuel rail covers and the radiator cover. One of the painters I am dealing with said he would not guarantee the radiator overflow because of pressure and temperature. Has anyone done this and what type of prep did the painter use.
I second jrose, thats what i had done to the interior of my engine compartment. but if your that serious about having them painted then i would use bully dog paint adhesive primer , that junk is great for getting paint to stick to plastics fiberglass and metals without to much work. ive got the resevoir covers from mid america in millenium yellow of course and no issues with mine.
Paint with rattle can. I used duplicolor that matches my paint code.
You can use clear as well. Did it to mine. Still looks awesome. Just take your time between coats.
