Default getting new lifters. suggestions?

So it seems that my chirping/ticking noise is probably a bad lifter. That being the case, I decided to go ahead and replace them since I should have done it a while ago anyways.

What kind of lifters would you recommend for an LS6 with an MS3 cam? I'm probably gonna go with the Comp 850-16 OE replacements, unless someone can give me a reason to go with something else.

And I'm gonna stay away from LS7 lifters. I've heard from some engine builders that they aren't ideal for a motor with a bigger cam.

To clarify..."you've heard"..or you have talked with engine builders/shops to see if they have concerns with LS7 lifters, and your particular cam? Have you talked with Texas Speed?

I would go with Morels. Better materials in the roller and the bearings, body length design to sit lower in bore due to smaller base circle of aftermarket cam and higher lifts. It is top dog. Not sure who makes the Comps, likely Eaton.

I pulled the Caddy Racing lifters out of my motor when a couple got noisy. I replaced them with Morel link bar lifters.

I don't know why my phrasing matters, but sure, I've spoken with some engine builders, as well as friends who have had bad experiences with LS7 lifters with big cams.

And thanks for the suggestions! I've been hearing a lot of positives about the morels. Can I run them with the link bars without any othe modifications??
