If you retain your O2 sensors and air pump why is CA against long tubes? Your aren't adding more emmisions just have better flowing exhaust. Is it because they don't have a CARB number?

No rhyme or reason is required in La La Land.
it's because you move the cats which changes the efficiency
i have used shorties and long tubes. For the money and return if you can do your own work shorties will work well for your situation. I got 16 hp from my set up, pacesetters. Sounded good, dropped some weight. Good torque gains too.
After I went to H/C the shorties were holding me back, so then I switched.
best input is from those who have experienced both set ups.
I use the LS7 exhaust manifolds, cats and H-Pipe in my C5 and they definetely added some power. Can't talk about shortie headers but those manifolds are atleast as good or better.
