Reducing brake weight

Thanks !
Lighter wheels and tires.
Colman makes two piece rotors with hubs and hardware.
Or Hardbaruse.com and their rotors
Stock Front C5 rotors are ~13 lbs, the rears at 11 lbs
For set of hats, rotors and hardware, $800 / axle or $1500-$1600 for four.
Not worth getting cheap two piece brake rotors and hats.
Again the best place to reduce rotating wt are the wheels. But NOT 19" or 20" rims. Stick with 18" rims all around.
for each 1 lb or rotating wt removed is ~ 6.5 lbs removed of static or in car weight.
Good luck
"Our 2 piece rotors are $320 each for the stock C5/C6 front. Replacement rings when needed are $155 each. How many track sessions do you get with your current rotors? How much do you pay for them? How much does a track day cost? How often do you break one at the track that causes you to miss a session? These are questions only you can answer. I know I run an entire race season on 1 set of front rotors in the racecar you see in my avatar using Cobalt Friction XR1 pads. I doubt that stock rotors will last much more then 1 day on that car.
