Motor ECU question?????

So I had my vette at the shop today and they scanned it for codes (I am having a cold idle issue)and they told me the VIN in the motor ECU is different that the VIN on my car is it possible to reprogram the ECU so everthing will match again?

The dealer should be able to flash a stock tune back in. Why do you want it to match? It will not hurt anything being different. Is the pcm newer than your car?
