Default Trunk release problem

Background: 2000 Vert. I have been doing amp, door speaker and sub work. About ready to put things back together and noticed I can not pop the trunk or turn on my fog lights from the console buttons.

They were working, I removed (unpluged) them and had them pluged back in. Now they don't work. The light comes on but nothing when I push the buttons. I tried the remote and it pops the trunk, no problem.

Any thoughts?? Mark

doublecheck your switch? Make sure that its plugged in correctly and you havent bent a pin or something over so that it doesnt make contact.

Thanks, I checked the pins are nice and straight. No kinks and the plugs have no loose wires at the connector.

When I turn on the lights the switch lights up.

BOY, do I feel like a boob!! I checked fuse #32 thinking it couldn't be blown because my remote trunk release was still working.

Wrong, That was exactly the problem. Changed the 15A and I'm back in business. Thanks byrohunter, you be the man. Mark
