Default Changing starter

How the hell do you change the starter on an 03 Z06 with Kooks Long Tube headers? I have been reading up on my charge system fault issue and some have said to inspect the starter for heat damage from the headers and I cant even get my hand in there to feel around much less look. I am not trying to change it right now but if I find some issues I may. I am an aircraft mechanic and I have seen some tight locations but this is crazy!

To the best of my knowledge, no LT headers will allow the starter to be changed....without at least loosening the right header.

Yep, best to just remove the pass header.

I think that even with stock exhaust, you have to remove a section of the system to get the starter out.

Yeah I helped a friend put kooks on his 2000, and when I got there everyone was like well we got the passenger side done, but they didn't put the starter back in first so we had to take the bolts out of it and let it drop far enough to get the starter in. I was the lucky person to have the smallest hands so I was the one under the car puting the starter on. Not real hard, after you take out the 5 or 6 header bolts it shoud drop far enough for starter removal.
