The ring and pinion gears are $320 from Rons-Machining-Service but I've heard it's very difficult to install them yourself and special tools are required.
The labor cost from Dynotech is about $900 assuming $80 for misc materials. At $50 and hour, that would be 18 hours. There is no way this is an 18 hour job, is there?
Has anybody tried having the ring and pinion gears installed at your local Chevy Service Center? If so, how much did they charge you and did you have good results?
Maybe somebody on this forum (not me) should learn how to do the swap and only charge $400 plus materials.
my 4.10 diff was taken out of the car, cleaned and rebuilt with stage 4 internals, and put back in the car in about 5 hours at RPM. just buy one from there and send a core.
