Ditto here but using the Nitto 555's. I got 65,000 miles out of the last set.

Falken 452 non runflat. what a difference, had Khumo's mx runflats and these are quieter and the ride improved being non runflat, imho. Plus got a super deal from my local shop.

If you can hear your tires, your exhaust is too quiet!

Tire history GY runcraps ---> Michelin Pilot Sport ZP ---> BFG g-Force Sport. The Michelin's are a great tire but they were very expensive. I absolutely love the BFG's. Not only does the back of the car stay planted when I get on it and push it through the corners they also haven't tried to kill me yet when they are cold. They are cheap and oh so quiet as well. It is like a brand new car and now I actually enjoy taking it on roads trips.

#1 go with non-runflats, big improvement. Tire rack is a good source of tires for reasonable prices. My most recent set of tires are Bridgestone protenza, $835 or so, much better than stock.

I've got Kumho Ecsta MX's on the car right now, they're about 2/3 worn out,and they're noisy-not Real loud, but loud enough to annoy me a bit-they're also making the ride a bit rough.
I've got a set of General Exclaim UHP's (Tirerack,$550 to my door) sitting in the garage,to go on next weekend when I do my rotors and pads.

Going to carry a 12v compressor and a plug kit in case of a flat-I've read on the Forum that the ride quality goes up,and the noise goes down with non-runflats,so I'll be finding out first hand real soon.

If money is a consideration I would look at the Cooper Zeon's. Search Cooper tires and check them out a neighbor of mine has them on his Camaro and they look good and are lasting as well. I talked to a local deal and he put them on his Corvette and said it was a huge improvement over the run craps. These tires have good specs as well. Good luck.

Damn, 65k? Which 555's do you have? R's or RII's? I just got new RII's for the rear... I hope to get 20-25k out of them.

if your getting 65k out of a set of tires you're not running hard enough and can probably hear the tires

R's. I'll admit I was extra careful in the rain after 50k.
