Default How Do I Program My Remote?

Can somebody point me to a link or give me instructions on how to program a keyless remote for my 99 vert?

4-Press the Option button on the DIC until the IPC display is blank in order to enter the program mode
5-Press and hold the Reset button for 3 seconds
6-Press the option button until FOB Training message is displayed
7-Press the Reset button in order to begin the programming sequence.
8-Simultaneously press and hold the lock an unlock buttons on the first transmitter for 12 seconds. The IPC will indicate when that transmitter is programmed and when to proceed to the next. Repeat this step for each transmitter.

sort of on subject. I have only 1 key/fob when I bought the car a year and a half ago. I'd like to buy another key/fob. Now in the instructions it says turn the radio off, however I've since gone aftermarket. Will it still work? I know in the OBDII menu when it gets to the radio section it say No Communication.

Anyone try this with an aftermarket head unit? I did not use a harness adapter since I ran new wiring to bypass the stock Bose Stuff since I was taking the bose stuff out too.
