so i was just surfen threw some corvette articles and came across a manifold porting thread..they used a LS2 intake manifold.
i was just wondering if anyone has ever ported a LS6 intake manifold..and if so what kinda hp/tq gains can be expected..or is this not heard of with LS6 manifolds..
I had my LS6 manifold professionally ported but did not dyno it beforehand so I can't speak for how much it was worth. I can say going from the LS1 stock intake to the LS6 ported intake was worth right at 13 rwhp.

arent the ls1 intake manifolds different from the ls6 intake manifolds..i was curious to what the difference was between a ls6 intake manifold was and a ported ls6 intake manifold (if this has been done)

The LS6 manifold is MUCH better than the early LS1 intake manifold.
Heres a pic of the bottom of an LS1:
The LS6 has a larger plenum and flows better The bottom of the intake is flatter:
My wife has an 06 Coupe and now that I know that it is a three piece intake, I will dig into it for some more HP! Ive already ported the TB with great results.
I really enjoy porting. Its relaxing!

I don't think it's quite that simple...
While it is a "three piece" manifold, the pieces are sonic welded together.
