How much boost do you want to run? I've seen short blocks in almost stock configuration (346ci) with wiseco forged pistons or strokers with a full aftermarket bottom end with forged pistons. At a minium I would get forged pistons.
Check out the vendor list on this forum. I've seen quite a few short blocks. Off the top of my head I would look at A+A and TSP, but there are many others.

Not sure if you have been following the Va Speed build but if/when I do this Va Speed and HKE will be the top two contenders for the short block.

What do you want? Massive stroker, LSX block, forged everything and custom pistons or budget stock cubic inch with only forged pistons?
What keeps my horsepower hunger in check is the price tag of go fast parts along with upgrading the driveline price tag.

I like the bigger 4.00 bore or bigger so you can go with L92 heads. It's not as big a deal with a supercharger it depends on how much power you want to make. A+A has a forged 6.0 for $3599.
