Well you certainly accomplished your goal.
Heck, even if we could just convince someone to make casting and then the remaining machining would be simpler and probably not even have to be CNC'd. Just threading of the correct holes and then a surfacing plane for the gasket surface.

You'd save on the machining costs, but you'd have to plunk down a lot for a mold. And you would still have to pay the foundry for each part they make. I wonder how many guys actually move their sensor. I have a funny feeling that the market is pretty thin...

The matter of sensor location and the before/after the oil filter issue is one that the current relocation kit from TPE addresses, in addition to the obvious ease of replacement factor. Jeff seems to have done a good job as his new version no longer uses the lower left front block port any longer.
If I were looking now to address this myself, I would be inclined to go with the TPE unit.
