let me tell you. i am brand new to the forum. and have only had my vette for two months now. so please forgive my ignorance. i don't race and don't plan on it at least right now. i have an automatic and find that i have to go almost full throttle to get some performance out of my vette. like driving around town. you have to hit the passing gear to really roll. i had a 5 speed mustang before and you could just leave it in a lower gear and have all the power you wanted. anyway i just want to get more performance out of my vette. at all throttle positions. the vette is bone stock right now.

First of all the A4 transmission needs all the help you can get it. There is really good power in the car that can be hd by some really basic bolt ons and inexpensive intake and exhaust modifications. I have had very good results without going into the engine as yet(check sig for times and dyno chart). My homepage will document my mods and their sequence of installation..take a peek :yesnod:
The Transgo is a great modification and is a great start to getting a good solid feel of shifts in your car. My recommendation is to find an experienced transmission tech that has done the installation already.The job is NOT for the weekend mechanic. It's tedious and you must have a careful eye with all the small parts that are required to install.The results are fantastic.... :smash: For a relatively inexpensive mod you will get the results your looking for.. :D You might also look into a Powerloader or other form of PCM programming...It works!

Yes, the Transgo is a great mod. It is not going to give you any more performance except when your tranny shifts gears. Then there will be firmer, crisper, faster shifts. You will definitely notice the SOTP feeling. I believe what you are looking for can be accomplished with computer tuning. There are several good computer tuners out there that can tune the engine and automatic transmission to give you much better performance. I used Ed Wright at Fastchip.com. I have had excellent results. There is also Steve Cole at TTS. Do your research before you choose a tuner. Believe me, you'll save yourself some grief. Eric
