Glad you got the look you were after. I am going to have mine back together today. I am just waiting on some replies to my ball joint question thread. Time to bump it up.

With that 1" spacer did you need to cut the factory studs to be flush with spacer

Mick, What size spacers / adapters did you use ? I have aftermarket C6 5 spokes in a C5 size and the chrome is HORRIBLE....I'd like to replace with OEM C6 Wheels

I used the 20mm spacer, close to 3/4" thick, and had to cut the end of each stud, blank part with no threads plus one thread. I think if you use the 25mm spacer, which is darn close to 1 inch, you may only have to grind the very end a little if it touches when you tighten the wheel up. It will leave marks on the inside of the wheel if it needs ground a touch. I don't think the spec on that inside pocket of the rim where the wheel stud protrudes is very critical when machining the rims so it may differ from rim to rim.

I'm about to go this route as soon as the 'spacers' arrive.
Mine are from a 427 Convertible.
18 Front
19 Rear

The Wheel Offset is the key along with the wheel width.

Images added to show issue.

http://www.motorsport-tech.com/contact.html

These guys manufacture the spacers exactly to the car and wheel.
Guy told me it comes with all required mounting hardware.

The wheel offset puts the rim "RIGHT AT THE FRAME".

7/8" spacer should solve my problem.

285/35ZR 19 tires on rear.

Sorry for multiple 'edits'.....

These ARE NOT "SPACERS".... These are actual WHEEL ADAPTERS...

And continuing with the thread 'as is' .....
Now MY QUESTION..... he he he
Did anyone have the "WHEEL / TIRE SIZE" changed in their computer for speedometer accuracy?
Probably a stupid question, but I think about this stuff.
Couldn't find anything about this anywhere else.
Thanks in advance.

Oh, silly me, another thought.
Did you LOWER your car on the stock bolts to adjust for the taller wheels?

My speedometer was only off by .2mph at 60 mph so I didn't touch it even though I have HPTuners and could make it exactly perfect if I wanted to be that crazy with it.

Yes, these are wheel adapters. I was using the incorrect name.

Yes

The offsets are the same as C6, and there's a ton of threads; use spacers or adapters, as they'll sit further in if you don't

The only negative I can see is I had to trim the blank part of the lugs off and one thread so the stud would not protrude too far and hit the wheel. The match is perfect with the front comparing how deep the fronts sit inside the fender vs the rear. Now when I look at the car I can't quit looking at the car and how good the offset matches up!
I'm new to the Corvette side (previous GTO and F-body owner) I bought some C6 ZR1's in gunmetal and will need a rear spacer. I've been searching quite a bit before posting, but I want to make sure I do this right. (getting the right offset in the wheels I wanted wasn't an option)

I just did a search on H&R's website to double check the part number. I noticed it didn't give an option for the Corvette, only the Camaro. Additionally, the centerbore is 70.5mm instead of 70.3mm. I know it's only .2mm, or .0078" but does this not keep the load from being transferred to the hub and instead to the lug? Or am I thinking too much into this? I know things flex under load, and I'm not going to be tracking the car or anything... I just have really bad luck with these things.

That bothered me too at the time. I went forward with it. I currently have about 65,000 miles on the adapters. Been across the country once, Pacific Coast Highway (US1), RT 66, and daily driving with no issues so far. I am only running Firestone Wide Oval tires in the stock size on the stock C6 rims so I'm sure the adapters aren't being stressed as much as they would be with a stickier tire. I would like to go with a wider rim and "stickier" tires all the way around but I'm not sure how much wider we can go under these cars without a mini tub or flaring the fenders.

I thought the ZR-1 rims were wider than the regular C6 rims?

Looking closely at the brake wear I think I am going adjust for the exact roll-out. I notice a little funny behavior when aggressively going around a sweepers and reducing radius bends.

Forgot to answer your second part of the question back in June so I'll hit it now. Yes, the car is lowered a bit. I bought the car "slammed", so I actually raised it all the way around but it is lower than stock.
