Service Traction Control system
Did anyone ever get this message on the DIC? According to the manual, it should be serviced as soon as possible. I made an appointment with ny dealer, but was wondering what's usually involved in fixing this problem. :confused:

I used to get it, I had two problems, one was the right front cable from the speed sensor was bad, the other about 8 months after the cable was replaced, the spped senor went bad (maybe it was bad all along) When the speed sensor has problems it reads one wheel speed different from the other, and dosn't know what to do.
Once I knew what the problem was, I just cleared the codes and kept driving, until I had the extra funds to replace the speed sensor.

Yep...We all get it...There's a service bulletin on it. They dealer should upgrade the PCM code. Mine didn't start until it had ~7000 miles on it and now I get the code occassionally. It resets after a shutdown and restart though...GeorgeC

I noticed that the message cleared when I shut the car off and waited a minute before starting. So far it hasn't happened again, but since I'm still under warranty, I may as well let the Genl. fix it!
