Standard to auto conversion! suggestions????
I am looking at swapping my 6 speed standard for a auto that can handle 1200 rwhp i am looking for suggestions and people that have done this. This conversion will be getting done on a 2003 c5 z06.

I think you're talking 4L80E or a transmission like a full race Powerglide to pull that off. 1200hp is huge if you hook up and still a lot even if you don't. I'd also suggest you find a swap that will use the C6 rear-end for that power level - it's heavier and every bit helps.
Not sure what you're doing with the car but maybe a straight axle swap is in your future.

I am running the stage 4 dte rear end and a built rpm standard transmission right now and just want to switch to an auto

Not sure what your experience is corvette's but independent suspension is not drag race friendly, it squats and you loose traction, etc ...
1200 rwhp is a lot of power. Your current differential ain't going to make it. You'll need a Zr1 differential.

i talked to dte and they said the diff i got will hold up to around 1400hp unless theres some bad wheel hop
