Default Introducing our C5 engine refresh program

We are CC Performance Parts. We are offering our engine refresh for LS1/LS6 engines. This is perfect for you hi mileage C5 guys and gals that want to keep their car original but might like more power or are over the 100,00 mile mark and looking to make sure another 100,000 miles are trouble free.

This is an inexpensive program at $4400. We will rebuild your short block and deliver a forged 383 back to you. ( We use your current block or exchange one with you to keep costs down)

You gain the benefit or a new bottom end and more HP which could translate to better gas mileage. We/you can put your current top end right back on or we can enhance your heads as well and deliver a refreshed top end to match.

HKE is a leader in LS engine building, we are an HKE precision racing engine distribution center.

Assuming I want to keep my custom TFS heads as they are @ 61cc chambers, could you build a forged 383 SB with pistons that'll bring the compression down to about 9.5:1 or so, for a blower app? Since you're close by, I can bring the SB to you, and save shipping. How much, and what components do you use?

Well the inexpensive version is only $3875 we can discuss upgrades how ever.

We use a Callies C series crank and Eagle rods in the inexpensive version. We can step up the rods and crank if need be, but we always use Wiseco pistons and rings, ARP main-studs and ACL coated race bearings. Completely balanced and blue printed of course.

With a -32 cc dish and your heads your looking at 9.21:1. Thats with a .051 HG, so we can definitely accommodate with a shelf piston and keep costs down.

Yep you can drive it over to me or I can come pick it up if need be. rubbermaid has a tote that an ls1 block fits into very nicely. Has two handles on it and makes it easy to pick up and carry around, only about 125 lbs.

We're doing a nasty 383 solid roller for my 79z28... that option exist as well but we don't like to put a solid roller in peoples hands unless they like to do maintenance work and have show the ability to properly adjust the valve-train.

Cool, thanks for the info. That solid roller job sounds pretty radical for my street only app. Time comes to forge, I'll give you a call first. My family's all down in the Salem area, so I make regular trips past Portland. My ultimate goal is a forged block that I can still use my TEA customized Trickflows, and maybe about 15 lbs of boost.

Excellent, the inexpensive version would suite you well. We're going to use the C series crank in my personal motor. I only sell what I would and do use.

A long block from Scoggin (LS6) was in the 3k range (3100) I believe.... so getting a freshened 382 for the similar (you can buy low mile LS6 heads for $450 shipped to help finish the package) is a really good deal.

I'm set on what I have, but damn.... I'd love to have a 382 compared to my 346. :o

Good point

But beyond that if you already have a C5 then you have all you need already. We refresh your engine and send it back as a long block. We can re-work your current heads a little bit depending on your budget and deliver a solid 450-500 rwhp with all the power under the curve you need to lay a serious smack down to anyone on the streets ( unless they've been to us before and have gone bigger..LOL)

We can build it for FI or Nitrous as well but this was for the more budget minded individual who loves his C5 but wants more power out of it to keep up with the newer ones, or has high mileage and wants to refresh it and keep it crisp.

So is that price if we send the engine or you also mentioned dropping the car off. If I dropped my car off what is the price? I'm a little confused on what this covers. thanks

Sorry for the confusion, my typing isn't the greatest sometimes...LOL nor my sentence structures

For $3400 will will rebuild your current short-block using forged internals, coated race bearings and ARP main-studs.

Then additions go on from there

We can touch up your heads a bit, grind a custom cam for you. Provide a new Melling Hv oil pump, timing set, lifters, pushrods, etc.. all depending on your budget and plans. Or just rebuild the short-block and you take it from there.

If your near one of my affiliates I can arrange for the R+R to be done as well, I have a few options and shops I work with to take care of my customers.

Default another question

If I made a trip to Portland, how long would it take for you to take out the engine, tranform it, and put her back in the car, ready to rock? Also cost of labor and tuning?

Welllllllll..... we would be using TJ Wong in Vancouver or Speed Secrets in Snohomish. They work pretty quick and are excellent tuners, have great reputations.. you've probably already heard of TJ Wong on here. If we cant get into him then we would go to Speed Secrets, TJ is closer to my location.

I do have a personal 383 that I could swap for yours to speed things up quite a bit.
If you wanted to keep your block we're looking at approximately 3 weeks to rebuild it all dependent on piston availability. We need to get the correct dish to match the heads to keep compression where we want it. My short block was built for the typical 66 cc heads and will net 11.07:1 compression.. New in box at the builder.

As far as cost we're looking at $2500 for the R+R and $500 for the tune unless tom has a special going or something
