No, crate and freight are not included.. where are you located in TX though (where is Helotes)? Engines are built in Houston

OK got it .. couple hundred miles... we'll deliver it for free

And you avoid sales tax as well

Does this include the machining of the block or do you just pull the old stuff out and put in new stuff?

Also who is doing this for you in the Houston area? Thanks.

Yes this is completely and properly prepped engine. Honed, line honed, decked and balanced. Same prep as one of our new precision racing engines. All work performed by HKE in Houston. In addition to that I am in Oregon, which means no sales tax for you

If someone was in a hurry or interested, I do have a 383 solid roller almos completed that was slated for a personal project of mine that I would sell to them and just have another built for myself.
The long block (mine) will be with TEA P+P'ed heads (799 castings same as 243)

Looking at around $7500 + or - a couple hundred for the long block. It all depends on the rocker choice, the lifters are Morel solid rollers.

The short is $3300
