I had the connector on the Maxi fuse get a little glazed over, not broken, just glazed on the connectors. Enough to cause the system to stop working once. Pulled the codes and the computer was full of Communication lost codes. So Figured it must be a fuse. replaced it and everything came back on-line. If your traction control and ABS lights are both on, check the Maxi fuse. If just one, try the mini fuse.

I haven't had the problem but a friend of mine had something similar happen when he went over some railroad tracks a little too fast. I think he just reset the error codes and he was fine.

Happened to me tonight. "Service Traction Control----Reduced Engine Power" came on, and left me on the side of the road. After several minutes and a couple of engine restarts, it was OK, but Check Engine Light (MIL) was on. MIL went off after three restarts and everything back to normal. The road was wet, no wheel spin, doing about 30 MPH when it happened. Now I don't know if I should take it to a dealer and see if they can find what caused it, or just hope it doesn't happen again.
