Default How will it handle

I have a set of shocks from a C5 Z06. I also have the front and rear sway bars. What kind of handling can I expect? I can also get the C5 Z06 springs,I am not going to install right away. What is a good ride height? The car is a street ride.

You'll be overdamped, ie more damping rate than spring rate. Will it handle badly? Dunno, but once you install the Z06 springs you'll have a proper ratio of spring rate to damping rate. The sways will provide a 'flatter' turn, and will give you a higher effective spring rate as well...

I lowered mine a half an inch (5 turns) and have been very happy with it as a good compromise, in that I can still get in driveways without trouble, it handles good without bottoming out...

Gideon's Test I have the shocks installed. It has made the ride a little stiffer, but not much. the rear is at 29" and the front at 27.75". The front is the stock height. I am going to install the Z06 bars next and then set the ride height to 27.25 front and 28 in rear. What do you think
Thanks Dude

Glad you got 'em in. Glad you're happy with it.
Well, the reason I suggested an equal number of turns front & rear was to preserve (as much as possible) the factory rake. The factory rake settings help keep the vette stable at high speeds.

The rake also impacts how your Traction/Stability control operates. If you haven't already read up on the topic, you'll want to check into it because many folks here have encountered serious issues with TC kicking in at unexpected times.

If I remember correctly you want to keep around 1 inch difference between the front and back. Looks like you'll be at .75 inches. Good luck with the mod, hope all goes well.

I just did a adjustment on the rear spring. After a road test I am at 27.75 front and 28.5 in the rear. I have four thread left on the rear bolts. I would like to lower the complete car one inch. Can I get shorter rear bolts or are the C5 Z06 bolts shorter?
