Default Hypertech 160 does not fit

Hey Guys,

I ordered a Hypertech 160 off Ebay and it did not fit the waterpump hole. Thinking I might have gotten the wrong one I got one from Summit and again it is the same as the one off ebay. The arms that hold the thermostat in place are 52.50mm. 6 months ago I had Lonestar Chev replace the waterpump under warranty. When you look at the water pump thermostat hole the seems to be a thin bushing that is makeing the hole smaller. The thermostat housing that is on the water pump now you can just pull the thermostat out. Maybe the put a after market pump on. Not sure what to do??

Sounds like they used a later model pump. I'm not sure what year they changed but the early pumps used a thermostat that was part of the housing. Later model ones did not.

Edit: It appears they changed in '04.
